Azure Security Engineer

We are currently hiring for an Azure Security Engineer to work for one of the largest Microsoft Gold Partner’s in Scotland, as well as a Microsoft Direct Cloud Solutions Provider. The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience in information security.  You will be responsible for engineering policies, procedures and guidelines for system access and ensuring that systems are monitoring all business-critical applications

Your responsibilities for this role will include;

• You should be familiar with all levels of the application and network communications and ensure proper access and data loss prevention controls are in place.
• You will be responsible for providing security advice on cloud infrastructure, including network, service, and application components.
• This role conducts risk assessments, architectural reviews, provides cyber security subject matter expertise, and leads in the building and design of secure solutions.

You will need to have experience in the following;

• Understanding of cloud computing technologies and network architectures
• Solid understanding of modern authentication protocols and a background in cyber security
• Experience in network security (TCP/IP, DNS, proxies, firewall configuration, IDS/IPS, IPSec and TLS/SSL)
• Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources.
• Exceptional written communication and strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to evangelise and explain security and controls to manage risk (authentications, role-based access, encryption)
• Experience of working within an agile environment and with teams delivering Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
• Familiar with Infrastructure as Code and Compliance as Code

Salary: £45,000 - £70,000 + Benefits

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Must be located around the “Central Belt” of Scotland and be able to get into the office once a week
