Lead Migration Architect
We are currently recruiting for a Microsoft Partner who are looking for an ideal candidate to fill a permanent position as a Lead Migration Architect. This majority remote position is an exciting opportunity to work with a Microsoft partner that designs, builds, manages and modernizes the technology systems that the world depends on every day. Your role as a Lead Migration Architect will put your skills and experience to great use as a leader in the workplace, using your extensive experience with technology, on-premise, cloud solutions and cloud multicloud infrastructures.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with project managers and platform specialists to drive assessment, discovery and migrations.
- Remediate and adapt client architectures to take advantage of the Cloud.
- Identify technical solutions to migration milestones.
- Create the required artefacts (Documents, diagrams, run books, etc.)
- Design Migration Plan strategies and solutions.
- Educate and coach teams in applying architectural techniques
- Successfully lead customer’s migration and transformation projects
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Prior experience of working on complex cloud projects as an Enterprise IT architect, along with involvement with Application/Data centre migration programs.
- Applied Azure and/or GCP and/or AWS Infrastructure engineering, designing and migration skills
- Virtualization Infrastructures (Hyper-V, VMWare, etc.)
- Cloud Network deployments
- Experience leading teams towards an outcome
- “Hands On” AWS and/or Azure and/or GCP implementation experience
- Applied Mature Architecture design framework, principles and methodologies
- Applied Agile and Project Management principles and practices
- Client facing ability to understand and provide guidance and recommendations on solutions to address client’s needs, challenges and transformations
Required Education
- Recognised Architectural Certifications (eg. TOGAF)
- Relevant technical platform and multicloud certifications (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, IBM).
Additional Application Information
Applicants should be aware that while this role is majority remote, candidates will be required to travel to either of the four office locations once per week. (Greenford, United Kingdom; Manchester, United Kingdom; Warwick, United Kingdom; Hursley, United Kingdom).
You will also be required to travel to client sites across the UK that may require being on site for days or potentially weeks at a time as and when needed by the clients.
